Donkichi
Had Curry rice. It's probably one of the places in Singapore with the best Japanese Curry. The Katsu was also really nicely fried. Crispy and moist in the middle. If you want to have any Katsu, must go to Donkichi, even though the price maybe kind of high, they have free flow of rice and Miso soup.

Ramen Hopping - Bari Uma
Awesome Ramen at Bari Uma at Tanglin shopping center (not the pretty building). Gyouza and Ramen were both awesome! Though I would have preferred it if they had allowed us to choose the hardness of the noodles.

Ramen Hopping - Sanpoutei Ramen
Went Ramen Hopping (or so we call it since we go visit random ramen shops every time during the holidays) with bestie at holland. It was the newly opened ramen shop; Sanpoutei Ramen (at time time we visit it was newly opened).
There are two ramen shop that I know of in Holland. The other one is Yoshimaru Ramen bar. Even though Sanpoutei Ramen has a lot more choices, I still think that Yoshimaru Ramen bar is a lot nicer. The noodles are especially nice there.

PS: The matcha ice cream was awesome, but small.

Ma Maison
Visited Ma Maison at Bugis, because when the last time I ate there, I really liked it. Since last time I ate the Hamburg Steak, I decided to go for the Chicken curry. I didn't really like it though. The chicken were in such huge pieces, and the curry was way to strong.

Twelve Cupcakes
Went to get twelve cupcakes again, because I really wanted to try the rose flavour.

Twelve Cupcakes - Rose
It looks really nice!! And honestly, I was expecting some cupcake with rose fragrance. So this was a total let down. In the sponge, they just added rose syrup. The cream wasn't anything special either. It was just sweet, sweet, and sweet.

Twelve Cupcakes - Strawberry Chocolate
This looked really appetizing too, so I got it. I really like the chocolate sponge. The cream was also good. This tasted a while lot better than the rose one.

Twelve Cupcakes - Vanilla
With vanilla sponge cake and vanilla cheese cream, this is a full vanilla cupcake (minus the cheese part). Nothing really special about this. The sponge tasted like a normal sponge cake.

Gyouza-ya
So the new robinson in orchard has opened! And in the basement, with all the cookwares, there are a few restaurants there. Two of them are japanese, and both by Akashi あかし. So there is a gyouza shop, selling mainly only gyouza. You can choose either the soup one of the fried one. I personally prefer fried ones because it's always that has perfect crispy-ness if well cooked. And yes, I really liked how they cooked the gyouza, but I thought that it was too salty. It's only normal for the soup one to have extra seasoning, since it's like boiled, but gyouza are meant to dipped into the sauce (i'm not too sure but I think it's some kind of soy sauce) with chili oil. But the moment I dipped mine into the sauce, it became too salty.

There is also a lack of variety of food in the menu, for main dishes, there are only two types of fried rice to be chosen from; the seafood one and the garlic one, and the only other main dish other than the fried rice is jyajyamian. I ate the garlic fried rice, which was basically just egg with garlic, but was quite nice.

Watami - Curry Rice
Japanese rice served with Katsu and Japanese curry. I kind of like the Katsu, juicy and crispy, but lacking in flavour, but than again, that's why the curry is there for. I didn't really like the curry though. I don't know if it's just my odd taste buds, but I'm pretty sure that they added Tomatoes in the curry. A bit too spicy for Japanese curry, since Japanese curry is usually not spicy. But I like spicy.

Matcha Pudding
Matcha flavored pudding topped with matcha sauce, red beans and whipped cream. The pudding itself; superb. I like everything, minus the red beans (not a fan of red beans).

Akashi - Sweet Potato Tempura
I love their sweet potato Tempura! It's like the most awesome way you can ever eat a sweet potato.

Akashi - Beef Udon
Awesome noodles, but not worth the price. It's such a small bowl. Though I really love the soup and the beef; the beef isn't over cooked and is tender. For people that don't really like the normal thick udon noodles, this noodles are like thin, flat, and super smooth.

4 Fingers
Finally trying 4 fingers. It's been the recent popular chicken/fast food place for Singaporeans. I shared with my friend a mixture of drumlet and wings in a 6 piece set box.
There is a choice of a soy sauce or spicy sauce, and unknowingly, my friend bought the mixed one - in which she though would mean some soy some spicy, but no it's just a mixture of the two sauce. The fries also comes in Kimchi or seaweed flavour, we bought the seaweed flavoured one.

So, the food came in this cute portable camping tin. The chicken seemed like there was very little meat, and lot more of the crust. But the crust was really crispy; would probably taste a lot better if it was a bigger piece of chicken. I love the sauce, but my friend was dying of spiciness; so for people that can't take spicy, take the soy sauce one.
The french fries, a disappointment. It wasn't even seaweed flavoured. There was no trace of seaweed at all. Prefer the shaker fries from Mc dolands and fries from Everything with Fries.

Spinelli
Dropped by spinelli to grab a drink and wait for my sister to finish her work (internship), with my mum. Bought the Sunkiss twist which was basically ice blended orange with vanilla. Weird combination, but somehow you can get addicted to this flavour. It's like orange juice, with a tint of vanilla smell.

Yoshimaru Ramen Bar
Went to holland V for Ramen with bestie, (she's ramen obsessed). I had this Spicy Miso Ramen.
I also think that it's never true ramen without the egg (especially hate those over cooked ones, or those that don't even give egg).
Love the noodle. Must try ramen.

Dessert
Had matcha green tea ice cream for dessert. It is plain matcha green tea ice cream (with lots of sugar), and Shirotama (I think that's what it's called), topped with red bean paste. Very classical japanese dessert. But I still prefer the ramen play ice cream, because it's less sweet.

Plain Vanilla
After which, we went to buy cupcakes from Plain Vanilla.
It comes is this gorgeous box, tied with twine, very classical and vintage look. it cost $3.50 per cupcake. I bought the Earl Grey lavender and cookies and cream flavor. Not a big fan of cupcakes, and the only other cupcake I have actually eaten from is from Twelve Cupcakes.
I must say the cream / icing is really sweet, so I didn't eat it. The base is quite nice; though the earl grey flavor lacked the fragrance and taste of earl gray (I love tea), and the cookies and cream one tasted more like brownie. Though compared to Twelve cupcakes, I would say Twelve cupcakes one was more moist. (not sure if putting it in the fridge had any effect on this).

Guardian - One Day Sale
Lastly we went to guardian to buy some... stuff, because there was a one day sale going on.
bought toner (or lotion) from Habo Labo, whitening lotion from vaseline and baby lips (lip balm) from maybelline.

Sushi Tei
My mum took the Friday off, to spend time with us, and also to celebrate her own birthday (more like using all her birthday discounts to go shopping).
Had Sukiyaki and ice cream waffle for lunch. The Sukiyaki was really quite nice, but very little. It said that it was for 2 person (so I shared it with my mum), but was clearly not enough.

Toes - Red
Did my toe nails. Used Chanel in Pirate. Haven't been touching my Chanel nail polish so I decided to just take it out to use. (if not very wasted).
I love the how red always goes well with blue jeans. It's just an awesome combination.

What I saw in a taxi :3. "keep on smiling :)"

Ramen Play
Went to ramen play after my first paper. Had curry ramen with Katsu. It tasted more like beef noodles than curry. But it was quite nice.
Had matcha ice cream after that. I like their icecream. It wasn't sweet, but was balanced with the whipped cream that was below it. :3 I would go back for more.

Starbucks
After which, I went to starbucks to study, with my sister.

Watami
Ate Beef Sukiyaki at watami. I didn't know sukiyaki are meant to be sweet. (wah, tasted terrible to me). And really, it was totally not filling at all. I felt like I didn't really ate much after finish eating this pot.

Present
Belated birthday present from my mum. :3 it's a nutcracker!!! OMG, IDK y, but I always thought that nutcrackers are so super duper pretty. I think I just love things that are made out of wood. But hoenstly, this nutcracker is so pretty! Especially since it's in a neutral colour.

First time at Ma Maison
First time at Ma Maison. First thing that happened in the shop was that, there was this Japanese waiter who had came to serve us (led us to our seats). I couldn't catch what she was saying in English, and it probably did showed on my face, because the next thing she asked me was that if I understood Japanese. Well I did understand and can speak a little bit of Japanese (but because it was mostly learnt from animes, I was kind of afraid that I would be speaking a little too informal and impolite to her), so I gave it a little thought, but apparently took to much time. And she assumed that I didn't understand Japanese.
Ok so moving on to the place itself. The first time when you step into the store, you can feel that it's really vintage and has this Italian feel to it loved all the deco and the way they had showcased their tarts. It's a really pretty and cozy place. I really recommend people to go to this place.

Food - Starters
So I bought a set lunch, which comes with a soup, salad, drink and the main dish. So here is the corn soup and the salad. I didn't touch the salad since I don't really like vegetables and I extremely dislike any salad dressings with mayonnaise in it (and yes, thousand island have mayo in them).
The corn soup looks totally white, but there are piece of corn in them. I really love the soup because it's not to thick, like most western soup, and there is also a freshness to it (from the corn).

Food - Main Dish
So I ordered Hamburg, which is basically a Japanese modified dish (it's basically meat patty). It comes with a sunny side up and a mamaite (or brovil) sauce. At the sides there are cauliflower, broccoli, baby carrots and potato salad. They are most likely all boiled.
I love the Hamburg. The meat was a little pinkish, and was juicy and bouncy. Though the sauce was a little heavy (really salty), the fresh veggies at the side really helped to balance everything out. The potato salad was also awesome (minus the mayo).
Though one thing I didn't like was how they served the rice (you have a choice of bread of rice to go with your main dish). It was on a plate (like a small plate), which made things hard for me (since I was really used to using chopsticks and bowl) and the rice cooled down really fast.

End
So nearing the end of our lunch, the waiter actually passed us this key with the table number, so that when we go to the cashier, the cashier would know what table we are from. I think this was really unique. The key was really heavy too! Which is unexpected, since most restaurants are kind of cheapskate.

Birthday Celebration
Gave my bestie a birthday surprise haha. Though it was kind of failed since we failed to light finish all the candles before she came.

Cutting
Failed cutting skills.

Coffee Bean
My friend actually ordered espresso thinking it was normal coffee you usually drink.
